Goals
GOAL: refine pen work, ink paint, and water color skills in a mixed media art piece. I want to work on my pen skills because they are one of my strengths and I definitely want to include my strengths in the piece. However, painting, especially watercolor is something that I need to work on. I want to be able to practice my weak points in this piece as well as feature some of my strengths. I have not worked with ink very much in the past, so I will be learning about a new material as well. I think the ink layer will look really good with the water color as just another layer of shadows
REASONING: I want to include all of these materials in my art piece because I am including some strengths, weaknesses, and I will be trying out new techniques. I think this project will make a lot of sense because I will learn a lot in the process, and if it all goes well, the piece will match in my room really well and I will get to have a wall decoration that I made. These means I am looking forward to both the process and the result.

INSPIRATION: a lot of this piece will be working with the lighting in the piece and seeing how it reflects. Many artists have focused on this, it can change the entire work of art to change the lighting. In particular, Claude Monet worked a lot with the lighting. He really inspires me, I think his work is really pure and beautiful and I would love for my work to turn out like his.
